Hello! The intention of this new weekly email update is to keep you informed about what is going on here at AMPschedules, volunteer opportunities, special events, and the like. You are receiving this message because you have been involved with AMP on some level during the past three months. If you have information you would like to include in a future update, please send it to me via email at dawn@ampmedia.org. Likewise, if you would prefer not to receive these updates, just send an email to my email address with remove in the subject line, and I will take you off. Finally, if you know someone who is not receiving these messages who would like to, please forward that information to me as well!

Okay, so what is up at AMP this week? Here are some highlights:

Equipment checkout is available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12:00 Noon 6:00 PM with additional hours available between 6:00 9:00 PM with a pre-arranged appointment. Please call between Noon 6:00 PM Monday, Wednesday, or Friday to arrange your reservation. A staff person will always be available between these hours to assist you.
Edgar Kennedy Awards
The 3rd Annual Edgar Kennedy Awards have been scheduled for Thursday, February 24, 2005 to honor Monterey County film and video producers in professional and non-professional/student categories. EVERYONE is encouraged to submit entries. Entry forms and documentation will be available soon!
Community Programming Agreement
There are numerous versions of the Community Programming Agreement floating around, but there is only one that will be accepted from now on. You can find the correct form at www.ampmedia.org just click on the resources button on the left navigation bar, and then choose forms. There will be a PDF version of the Community Programming Agreement that you can print right off the website. We also have hard copies here at AMP.
Volunteer Opportunities
One of our volunteer producers is unable to keep a commitment for a previously arranged shoot next Thursday, November 18th. The shoot should take about two hours and will be from (gulp!) 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM at the Unitarian Church on Carmel Hill. The group is Toastmasters and they are working on a short program to highlight how they work and how participants can benefit. Thursday is just about capturing their meeting on video. You can learn more about Toastmasters at www.toastmasters.org. If you are able to help out, please contact Jonathan Geisler at 883-1501 or jgeisler@proformaprintnet.com. He will be deeply grateful if you can help save this shoot.
On November 17th at 7:00 PM there will be a Grand Opening for the Pacific Grove Performing Arts Center at PG Middle School. They would love to have coverage of this event. If you are interested in learning more, please call Jim Quinn at 372-4301 or his cell 915-3536.
Programming Opportunities
I have in my office a free program distributed by The Power of Choice Project. The program is a 27 minute documentary called Motherhood by Choice, Not Chance. If you are interested in learning more about it and possibly sponsoring this program for airing, please let me know.
Training Opportunities
We are preparing our training schedule for early 2005. If you have specific needs or requests, please email Matthew at galvin@ampmedia.org. We want to be certain that our training programs are meeting your needs. Thanks!

My best for everyone to have a fantastic weekend!
