of this weekly email update is to keep you informed about what is going
on here at AMP…schedules, volunteer opportunities, special events, and
the like. If you have information you would like to include in a future
update, please send it to me via email at dawn@ampmedia.org. Likewise,
if you would prefer not to receive these updates, just send an email to
my email address with “remove” in the subject line, and I will take you
off. Finally, if you know someone who is not receiving these messages
who would like to, please forward that information to me as well!
Okay, so what is up at AMP this week? Here are some highlights:
CHAMPS BBQ Tomorrow (Saturday, December 4th) the CHAMPS organization is hosting a potluck B.B.Q. The main course will be provided by AMP Volunteer Maggie Bevier – please bring a side-dish to share. If you would like to attend, please email Matthew at galvin@ampmedia.org or call the CHAMPS office, or Matthew, at 333-1267. Edgar Kennedy Awards Remember that the Edgar Kennedy Awards are coming February 24, 2005! Deadline for submission is Friday, January 21, 2005. Everyone with content produced during 2004 in Monterey County is encouraged to submit their work! Holiday Schedule AMP will be closed on Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day in celebration of the holidays. We will also close at 5:00 PM on Friday, December 17th. Program Submission Due to the holidays, all programming for Christmas weekend must be submitted by noon on Tuesday, December 21st and all programming for New Year’s weekend must be submitted by noon on Tuesday, December 28th. Thank you in advance! Production Opportunities Next Friday, December 10th, the Central Coast Art Association will hold a reception for their newest show at the “Artist Loft” on Cannery Row. The Artist Loft Gallery is a place for non-professional artists on the Central Coast to show and sell their work and the association would really like help getting the word out. Anyone who is interested in producing a program about this project, and attending the reception, should call Joanne Boulger at 655-2222 or 626-0688 (home). 10th Annual Monterey Screenplay Competition The Monterey County Film Commission is sponsoring this competition for aspiring and emerging screenwriters. The top three scripts will be read by leading film industry professionals. There are also cash prizes and opportunities for exposure in Hollywood.
