RAMA P. JAMA
Rama P. Jama started producing video of local artists and cultural events in the early 1980's. He produced radio on Public radio for 20 years, entertainment oriented with many features including live music. He is an artist and musician enjoying all things creative. He has been the emcee / host of many events with artists including Los Lobos, Jackie Greene, Chris Cain, Stu Heydon, Maria Muldaur, as well as many charitable causes. Rama has produced many shows at AMP including: "All the Things Creative", "AMPlified", "Monterey Almost Live", and currently "Rama P. Jama Alive and Wild".
For many years he supported himself and his family designing and creating one of a kind leather clothing and bags (a pair of pants for Miles Davis) and was a part owner in four retail leather stores for over 20 yrs. He traveled extensively in his youth living in Europe, Asia and South america. Rama is married to a professional artist / illustrator and member of the Carmel Art Association, whom has also played violin in the community orchestra for 22 years.
Rama is equally proud of his son, a jewelry designer and custom car builder as well as his grandson, a “straight A” student and trumpet player in the honor and jazz bands at his middle school.
