Steve Zmak captures the essence of California and the West through photography that speaks to the soul. A lifetime professional fine art and advertising photographer, and native Californian, Zmak brings his passion and enthusiasm for the West Coast genre of photography to the TV studio. Zmak is also a career graphic designer who created Cal State Monterey Bay’s logos, visual brand, advertising, and first print and digital publications. He has lived in Palo Alto, Sunnyvale, Huntington Beach, and San Diego before establishing permanent roots in Marina in 1996. He has served as a planning commissioner for the City of Marina, and as a Sierra Club activist in the same local chapter founded by Ansel Adams in 1964. He enjoys cooking, brewing his own beer, photographing and tasting wine, flying a drone, and all things science fiction. Zmak’s photography can be viewed on his website, SteveZmak.com, as well as on the office walls of the AMP Studio and State Senator William Monning."
