AMP’s vision is to empower community conversation through broadcast, personal, and social media, enabling freedom of expression and transparency throughout Monterey County. AMP is the premier resource for promoting and engaging local government, the public, and community organizations, and helping them effectively tell their stories.
AMP invites interested community leaders to learn more about joining our Board of Directors. Serving on our board can be a uniquely rewarding experience, where you or someone you nominate can positively affect change and support AMP in working towards our common goal of building a thriving business that provides recognized value to local government and businesses, as well as to the Monterey Peninsula community. Help us leverage the power of communication, volunteerism, and community development to improve the quality of life here in the Monterey Bay area.
The board leads the nonprofit in the areas of organizational direction, policy, strategic planning, and fiduciary accountability.
AMP Board Members are skilled and committed individuals who:
· Are passionate about local government, education, and production services
· Possess skills and experience in the areas of:
o Business administration
o Local government
o Education
o Video production
o Arts, culture, and humanities
o Nonprofit
o Legal
o Finance and accounting
o Fundraising and grant writing
o Language proficiency strengthening links with our local communities
o Have a desire to provide leadership and direction to the organization
